3. Windows 11 Setup & Preboarding

Once you unbox your laptop and turn it on, you will be prompted with the initial Windows 11 setup.

You can watch the video below so you can get an idea of the initial setup process.

Please follow these rules during installation:

1. Set up Windows with a personal email account, not your child's school EQ account.
   
2. Use a password that is 8 characters or longer otherwise you will be forced to set a new password after onboarding.
3. Its recommended that the personal account you use to sign in is a parents account to prevent loss of access to the computer if a password is forgotten. If you do this, you will need to make a second account for the student with their own personal account.
