Mitchelton State School currently runs BYOD in Year 4. This will expand to Year 5 in 2026, then Year 6 in 2027, as shown in the table below.

BYOD stands for ’Bring Your Own Device’. For Mitchelton State School specifically it means "Bring Your Own Windows 11 Device". This program permits students to bring their own device, if it meets minimum specifications, to school to support and further their education
Our Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) program will to enhance their learning experience by integrating student's own devices into the classroom. This will empower our students with the digital literacy, critical thinking, and creativity essential for the 21st-century workforce.
All students in Year 4 will need to use a laptop starting 2025. If you are unable to supply a laptop either short or long term, please fill out the form at this link:
