5. Final Checklist

​Once you have completed all other steps here are some final steps to check before the start of BYOD

1. Ensure Windows 11 has the latest updates installed. Windows can only update when connected to the internet at home, it won't update at school.
   
   
2. Microsoft Word, Teams and school email access have all been tested.
   
   
3. Battery life has been monitored to confirm it will last 6+ hours under normal use.
   
   
4. You know your school username and password.
   
   
5. You have your mandatory laptop accessories (Headphones with microphone and case)
   
   
6. Finally, before your first day of school, start the routine of fully charging the laptop, completely shutting it down, placing it into the case and then packing it into your backpack.

Parents should register for QParents so they can consent to online services that are needed for BYOD.
